Farmers understand the importance of our new drone technology. However, the longer term sustainability of farming relies heavily on data collection devices to rapidly collect data and find patterns to improve crop yields.
Drones such as the GenV featured below are merely a tool used to efficiently and cost effectively augment data collection. By collecting measurements relating to plant surface temperature, photosynthetic activity, and much more, we are able to generate relevant insights and build a vast database of plant information necessary to support future farming innovations.
The Grasshopper drone features many structural upgrades to the previous iteration of the drone. New features include a 180 degree gimbal system allowing for imaging from beneath the canopy using just one multispectral camera to perform mapping as well as a ground truth.
